A Time For Completion – Day 2
Although yesterday didn’t go exactly as I would have liked (for those of you who know me, you will not find that surprising), I had great time with God as I grew deeper in His Word and learned to love Him still more. The first great thing that happened was that as I prepared to START my next chapter, I found I already had 2,667 words already written for it! After reviewing it, I found I was pleased with what was there, but as I went on, I could not figure out how to complete the chapter. Late afternoon, it finally occurred to me that I was confused. Confusion will cause us to do such silly things sometimes. I took all of my books and found the comfort of my bed to study. I continued to pray and ask God to lead me on the outline of the chapter. By 11 PM, it was obvious to me that my confusion came from not being clear on my direction. As I turned out the light for the night, the Lord gave me what I needed. I awoke this morning feeling more at peace about this incredibly important chapter. Praise God!!
I spent my morning time basking in His glory as I learned from David and Joshua today. God gave me great insight into both of these incredible men. While still in my prayer window, I was able to write the beginning of another section for the book based on Joshua’s faith in God. Another, “Praise God!!”.
I will not have a complete day to write today as I am to see my “spiritual Daddy” who is visiting from Oklahoma, but I know that I will be blessed in that and am looking for great insight and deeper understanding of this God I serve. Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be my first long span of writing time. I am praying that God will prepare me for that and that He will pour forth from me what He needs me to say. After all, I do this not for my glory, but for His.
(Read Psalm 56 and 34, and I Samuel 21:10-15)
(An excert from my journal this morning)
“The wind is blowing, the rain is falling and the whitecaps are building on the bay. Funny how much I love the whitecaps – they are so beautiful to me – yet, they only come on the bay when a storm is brewing. That is just like God to make something beautiful even in the midst of a storm. That is what He is doing in my life too.”
Look for the beauty in your storm. You will then be set apart, and will be prepared to step into you Promised Land. Do it today! Your destiny is waiting!!
