I have a three-year-old neighbor named Levi. I have watched this little warrior as he has grown over the past two-and-a-half years. In him, I see strength, resilience and fearlessness. He seems to know no barriers.
Recently, while I was studying on my deck, Levi shed the security of the training wheels on his bike. It happened suddenly when his mother looked down while they were riding to find he was not even using the extra wheels. So off they went. He took off immediately …

Is it possible to live a life free of fear and full of faith in the world we live in today?  Can you walk as Abraham did for 24 years as he waited on the Lord in full faith for God to fulfill His promise?  The Bible says that Abraham did not waiver in his faith, but instead, he trusted God step by step.
In faith, Abraham packed up his family and left all that was comfortable in obedience to God.  Abraham was 75 years old when he made this move.  …

Some may think procrastination is a sign of laziness.  I guess for some it is, but for me, it has never represented laziness.  For me, procrastination is simply a sign that I am intimidated by what needs to be done.  It is a sure sign that I have no faith in my ability to accomplish what needs to be accomplished, and if I could, I would run very far, very fast.  I am sure, if you got to the root of procrastination with most people, you would find the same …

The absence of information is one of the conditions that fosters panic because fear arises from matters people do not understand. We need to be informed.  One of the greatest challenges we have today is that people are either uninformed or not informed properly.  In the busyness of our lives, many do not even find the time to read a newspaper or listen to the news and for those that do, most do not take the time to verify what they hear or read.
Although it has been witnessed throughout history …

I wonder, when polls are taken and people say they are Christian, do they know what that means?  Do we know anymore what that means?  To be a Christian means that you believe in Jesus Christ and have taken Him as your Savior.  To live a Christian life, means that you have repented to Him for your sins (and continue to do so on a pretty regular basis), you walk in His ways and you acknowledge that He is the Son of God.  TO be followers of Jesus, you must …

OK, I think it is only fair to tell you in advance that I am not the easiest Coach in the world. I guess I figure there are plenty of people in your life who will tell you what you want to hear.  The last thing you need to do is pay money for one more.  You can find plenty of them for free.  When I saw this clip, I laughed so hard I almost…..well, you see where I am going.  I think the thing that made it so funny …

Have you ever wanted to know why some people are easy to follow and others are not?  Wonder why your team isn’t devoted to you, and why they don’t see you as a leader? Funny how most people think that a great leader is someone who can walk into a room, take control and make others accomplish what they want to have done.  Although this kind of leadership may work for a time, it will not build and sustain most organizations.  A true leader is one that is a servant.
I …

Men, you want to bless your wives?  D o you want to be the sexiest man she knows no matter how old you grow?  Then brace yourselves.  You may be surprised by what you read.
It is not in the jewels or flowers (although do not forget those tokens of love) that your wife will find her adoration of you.  It is in your reverence of God and to God that you will draw you into her heart.  There is nothing as attractive as a warrior of the Most High God …

I am a passionate person. For those that know me personally, I know that will cause a chuckle.  But can I admit to you that even though I gave my life to Jesus in December of 1992 in the hospital over my sister’s dead body, I have not always allowed my passion for Him to escape into my life in “the real world”.  This is shameful for me to admit, but it is none-the-less true.  I am not sure why.  I guess I had myself deceived into thinking that my …

I find that keeping a journal of my life, my failures, my successes and my fears, has helped me through the years to not only see my progress, but my victories as well.  There is a reason why our forefathers and mothers kept such auspicious notes about the world around them.  Where would we be without the account Laura Ingals Wilder kept of her life?
Anne Frank is known as the Human Face of the Holocaust.  She began using a diary when she was 13 years old as an outlet to …
