There is nothing like writing a book on fear to help you to see where you have been living in fear. That is what has happened in my life. While writing my up and coming book on fear, I was forced to come face to face with the truth. I had been living an incredibly politically correct life under the guise of doing it for God, so I could bring more people closer to Him. That was a bold faced lie. The truth was that in this world of political correctness and “tolerance”, and persecution for those who find political correctness intolerable, I fell into the pressure to be acceptable. I mean, come on, who doesn’t want to be liked? Who seeks to go out every day and cause people to hate them simply by speaking the truth? No one, and certainly not me.
Recently, my husband felt led by the Lord to release a song and video that expressed a cry from his heart. He poured himself into it, prayed a lot and put it all into the hands of his most capable Savior. Yet, what has happened? We have discovered that we are not the only ones who have been struggling with the balance between our Christian walk and the world we walk in. We found that just like us, there are God fearing people out there who are letting the fear of man be greater than their fear of God.
In the times in which we are living, this can not be. We need to stand up for our Lord even when it is not easy. We need to express His thoughts, not our own, in ways that are true yet loving. If we truly love, we will share the truth. What does He command us to do? Love. What are His commandments? Have no other God before Him, have no idols (think about that one!), do not take the Lord’s name in vain, remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy, honor your father and your mother, do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, and do not covet.
If you review these commandments, you will see that the following song expresses these truths and lines up with the Word of God. Abortion is murder, no matter how you slice it. If you have had an abortion and this hurts you I am sorry for your pain. Know that there is a God in Heaven who loves you deeply and is there to forgive you and help you to forgive yourself. When we fear man, we are putting idols before Him. When we love God, we will stand up for His truth with a heart of love. When the freedom of speech and religion is being threatened, we are allowing our government to steal and to lie. When we do nothing, we are doing more than we think. When we allow God to be stripped from every part of our country, we are choosing to give a false testimony.
Think about these things as you watch this video. I pray it will change your life. I pray that you will be moved to stop the madness. Choose to find out for yourself what God says about marriage, life, government control, freedom and truth, and do it through His Word, not mans idea of His Word. Seek Him and you will find Him.
