Shed Those Training Wheels!
I have a three-year-old neighbor named Levi. I have watched this little warrior as he has grown over the past two-and-a-half years. In him, I see strength, resilience and fearlessness. He seems to know no barriers.
Recently, while I was studying on my deck, Levi shed the security of the training wheels on his bike. It happened suddenly when his mother looked down while they were riding to find he was not even using the extra wheels. So off they went. He took off immediately on his two wheels and fearlessly stepped in (or shall I say) rode into a new phase in his life. The shedding of the cumbersome tires brought new freedom to this energetic little man.
I give two thumbs up to to Mighty Levi. He was not afraid to shed the security of those two extra wheels. He was not afraid to fall ( which he did a lot). But what sets him apart from the crowd was that he didn’t let a scrapped knee or a bruised ego keep him from getting back up and riding again.
What training wheels do you need to remove today? There is no such thing as security, so let it go, grab the wrench, take off the tires and ride into your future. Your destiny is waiting.

Hi Carrie,
I had a person send this to me. It is about flying the nest which I wrote about this week. It is a great metaphor for following this one! Thought it would be encouraging. I think God is doing this to all of us:
