Something Wonderful

18 November 2009 No Comment

After one year, 40,000 words, 210 pages and an incredible amount of breaking and being refashioned by God, I have finally completed my book on fear. This is quite a day of celebration! And yet, in it all, I feel a sense of, dare I say, fear. Fear that when others read what I have poured my life, heart and soul into, they will mock it and ridicule what I have shared. Fear that now that it is complete, it will just sit on the shelf and collect dust, never going forth and impacting lives the way I envisioned. Fear that even once I read it in it’s entirety, I will want to throw it out! And fear that I will not measure up in the marketplace. But since I have developed great knowledge and wisdom about fear in the past year, I am well aware of the fact that the devil wants me to think like that. He wants me to doubt, question and belittle myself so that I will not accomplish the purposes God laid out for me before the beginning of time.
So today, I will choose to walk in faith. I will choose to believe the God of the universe instead of His fallen angel. I will choose to put my trust in the One who lovingly created me in His very image instead of the one who longs to take His place. I will recklessly go out and worship my King who is worthy to be praised, not because of what He has done for me, but just simply because of who He is – The Great I AM, The Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End, The Creator of the Universe, Jesus, The Holy One of Israel, My Daddy.
What are you fearing today? What lies are holding you back? You have promises laid out for you by God which are only accessible in a spirit of faith. Will you choose today to walk in faith instead of fear? Will you choose to trust God instead of man? Will you cast all of your cares upon Him, knowing that He cares for you? I pray you will.
Submit all to Him today. Your destiny is waiting!
