You Are the One the Slipper Fits

GlassSlipper

As little girls, we dream of being Cinderella.  We long to find our Prince Charming and to live happily ever after.  What we seem to forget in our daydreams is all that poor Cinderella had to experience in her life just to get to the place where she could live happily ever after.

As a young child, Cinderella lost her mother.  After her father married a woman who hated her, he himself died.  This poor young girl went from a Princess to a pauper overnight as she became a servant to her evil stepmother and two stepsisters.  Her life was anything but a fairytale.  Then, one fateful day, Cinderella emerged from her cold, attic room, and stepped into her dream world, but just as quickly as she found her destiny, it was snatched away from her again when she was locked away from the world by the evilness controlling her.  Refusing to be denied what was hers, Cinderella  fought her way out from the dark cell and into the arms of her beloved, but how did she accomplish that?  It turned out, she was the one the slipper fit.

Maybe your story is much like Cinderella’s only your Prince Charming has not yet arrived.  Maybe your destiny has been hard to find, or maybe you are feeling it is only meant for others.  Can I tell you something?  You are the one the slipper fits.  You are the bride of Christ.  He died for you to redeem you of your sins.  He sees you as a beautiful Princess.  He has a destiny and a purpose that only fits you!

Today, He is saying to you, my friend, that you are the one the slipper fits.  Will you put it on and step into your destiny, so you can live joyfully ever after?  I hope you will.  Your destiny is waiting!!
